You can fish from the beach or from a boat at any time. Gee-Dee's have four 4.4 metre aluminium boats with 25 horsepower motors for hire. In addition there is a 4.55 metre Poly Craft with a 40 horsepower motor and large self-drive barbecue boat, all of which require a boat licence. All boats are supplied with ice, esky, fuel, cushions and canopy. Boats are launched and retrieved at the nearby boat ramp at the entrance to the Norman River. The whole mood is relaxed as travellers, fishermen, birdwatchers and locals gather in the late afternoon to enjoy the "million dollar sunset" across the Gulf of Carpentaria.
