Ben Ricketts is an ideal retreat for groups, families and individuals, set within the tall forest of the Illawarra Escarpment. There are three fully equipped cabins available for holiday rental. Ben Ricketts is within easy reach of Kiama, Carrington Falls, Minamurra Rainforest, Illawarra Fly and Jamberoo Recreation Park. Be woken up by lyrebirds and spend the day enjoying the rainforest, creeks, glades and open paddocks. Ben Ricketts is home to echidnas, wombats, swamp wallabies, greater gliders and a great variety of birds. Listen to the lyrebirds, bowerbirds, catbirds, whipbirds, kookaburras and sugar gliders. Children are welcome, with plenty of open space for them to play, friendly sheep and chickens to meet, and lots of nature to discover. There are marked walking trails on the property that start close to the cabins. Linen is available at an extra charge. Pets are not permitted to stay in the cabins.

A continuation on from the 'Loop Walk', the 2.6 kilometre (return) Falls Walk will lead you safely along the canyon cliff edge to the breathtaking Upper Minnamurra Falls. Carrington Falls, a spectacular waterfall, drops 50 metres down into a gorge into Kangaroo Valley. Located in the Budderoo National Park, well developed walks exist with access to several lookouts including a track for the disabled. Closed areas: Carrington Falls and Carrington Falls picnic area is closed due to damage from a recent bush fire. The following areas of Carrington Falls will be closed until 1 November 2016: * Carrington Falls * Carrington Falls loop track * Izzards lookout track * Thomas Place * Stevos track * The loop walk takes about 25 minutes to complete, and from the lower car park you can reach Nellies Glen picnic area. A second car park is located on the northern side of Carrington Falls. Loop Walk starts from northern car park off Jamberoo Mountain Road, 18 kilometres west of Jamberoo Post Office, follow tourist drive nine from Kiama.
