Gordon Country, established 40 years ago, is to quote the late RM Williams, "one of the most beautiful places in Australia" A working cattle property boasting 4,000 acres of some of the best bush and rainforests that Australia has to offer, nestled at the head of the Goomburra Valley, adjoining World Heritage listed Main Range National Park, under two hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The clear waters of the Dalrymple and Banshee Creeks meandering though Gordon Country provide some of the best campsites you'll find and your dog is welcome too. Bushwalkers will find platypus in the creek, koalas in the treetops, creeks and lagoons and will hear the bellbirds and whipbirds. Four wheel driving ,mountain bike riding, bring your own horses For those who like 'the comfort' of a bed, the recently renovated cabins provide gas and wood stoves, gas refrigerators, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, as well as gas barbecue and outdoor campfire. All you need to pack is your sleeping bag or bedding and a light. Mobile phones don't work. Remember no electricity, just gas and wood and old fashioned fun! Camping , caravanning or cabins, you won't find a better place.
