Offering reverse cycle air-conditioning, a compact kitchen for self catering, and living area with comfortable couches and antique furniture. A potbelly wood burning stove adds to the ambience in the cooler months. Enjoy the wide screen television and barbecue area. Approximately 1.5 hours along the M1 from northern Sydney, one hour from Newcastle and 20 minutes from Cessnock and the vineyards area. Lyrebird Studio offers a break away from the electronic world, a truly peaceful retreat where couples can relax and generally switch off! The owner of Lyrebird Studio is a full time practising artist who hangs paintings throughout the accommodation, available for sale for art lovers.

Wedge-tail Loft consists of a sleeping, sitting and kitchen area. It has a bathroom with a unique view and there is an outdoor area with a barbecue. There is a king sized double bed, or two singles for twin share if you prefer. Fold out beds can be added for up to two children. The kitchen is fully equipped and the Loft has a TV/DVD and CD player with an iPod dock. With the unique and charmingly rustic ambience, an ample supply of books and some games on hand you will be forgiven for not wanting to leave and explore the Hunter Valley and the nearby Watagan Forest and Wollombi historic village....

Wallaby Cottage Country Escape at Red Belly Farm, Ellalong, Hunter Valley is an affordable, peaceful paradise which is only a short drive from the main vineyards and all that the Hunter Valley has to offer. Set on 35 acres of farmland, Wallaby Cottage is marvellous in summer and is a brilliant spot for a winter weekend where you can be cosy by the warmth of a wood fire. Verandas all around provide an excellent place to light up the barbecue. Here you can enjoy a long afternoon of well-spent, country house time as kookaburras laugh up in the trees and you sit back and appreciate the view of the horses and kangaroos as they leisurely graze in the paddocks. Wallaby Cottage is a self-contained, pet friendly house with three bedrooms and an open plan lounge, dining, kitchen area which can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests.
