Adels Grove Camping Ground is an eco-sensitive park on Lawn Hill Creek, located 10 kilometres downstream from Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park. Adels Grove is set among a plantation of exotic trees initially grown by the French Botanist Albert de Lestang in the 1930s. The Camping Parkis an oasis retreat for the dusty, tired traveller: a perfect place to refresh, relax and recover. You can catch Barramundi just metres from your tent site or lie back and watch the cool aqua water meander through the park. Staff at Adels Grove operate tours of the surrounding Boodjamulla National Park and the World Heritage Listed Riversleigh Fossil Fields. Bookings are essential. The excellent short walks in the vicinity of Adels Grove, is a further 20 kilometres of walking tracks within the National Park. Bird watching in this area is fascinating with several different environments in close proximity. The numerous savannah woodlands, open savannah plains, lush riverine remnant rainforest and rocky Spinifex escarpments all support a wide variety of bird species. Upper Gorge Walk, Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park

The Upper Gorge Walk is located within Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park, one of Queensland's most scenic national parks. Situated within the remote north-west highlands of Queensland, the park features spectacular gorge country, sandstone ranges and World Heritage fossils. Lawn Hill Gorge is formed by Lawn Hill Creek, which is fed by numerous freshwater springs from the limestone plateau to the west. The magnitude of the sandstone cliffs lining the gorge, its emerald waters and lush vegetation make it a visual splendour. Serving as an oasis, the spring water and surrounding vegetation attract an abundance of wildlife. The seven kilometre Upper Gorge walk begins at the eastern end of the camping area, ascends a ridge and meanders along the edge of the gorge offering spectacular scenery. The loop track returns along the creek edge where you will encounter a diversity of plant and animal life. This walk is recommended for experienced bushwalkers and should only be undertaken in the early morning. Keep to the walking track at all times. Stay clear of cliffs and steep rock faces and take care on uneven slippery track surfaces. Allow three and a half hours walking time to complete this difficult track....

The Wild Dog Dreaming walk is located within the Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park, one of Queensland's most scenic national parks. Serving as an oasis, the spring water and surrounding vegetation attract an abundance of wildlife. The partly-shaded four and a half kilometre walking track leads to the culturally important Wild Dog Dreaming site with ancient rock art and stone engravings. The Waanyi Aboriginal Traditional Owners ask that you respect their culture by not taking photographs at this site. The track continues into the lower gorge where freshwater crocodiles are often spotted basking in the sun. This is a pleasant walk, allow one and a half hours walking time. Keep to the walking track at all times. Take note of safety signs and do not touch the rock art or engravings. Carry plenty of drinking water to avoid dehydration and try to walk in the cooler part of the day....
