The Marion Cultural Centre has been internationally recognised and was one of 12 Australian buildings selected to feature in the Australian Pavilion at the 2006 Venice Architecture Biennale. It is only 15 minutes from the Central Business District. The Marion Cultural Centre comprises a theatre, meeting rooms, art gallery, café, foyer, plaza and the Marion Library. West Beach Mini Golf is an ideal way to inject plenty of fun and a little competition into your life. West Beach Mini Golf has an 18 hole course with some challenging holes and some offering the chance for players to net a hole-in-one. Mini Golf is ideal for people of all ages and the West Beach facility is located between Adelaide Shores Caravan Resort and Adelaide Shores Holiday Village on Military Road. It is easy to get there by bus from the city or Glenelg and if you do drive, there is plenty of free parking available. The Mini Golf caters for children's birthday parties, offering a great choice of foods, a free iceblock and cordial drink for each guest, with a free return game for the birthday boy or girl. Light refreshments, coffee, ice creams and drinks are also available on site. Fun for the 'hole' family.

Old Government House lies in the heart of Belair National Park, 11 kilometres south of Adelaide. It was built on the Government Farm as South Australia's first official vice-regal summer cottage residence (1860-1880), and was used by some of the early governors of South Australia; MacDonnell (1855-62) and Daly (1862-68). The Old Government House buildings now reflect how the wealthy of the Victorian era lived, with the main house displaying the style and accoutrements of the well-to-do and the servants' quarters the more modest furnishings of a working family. Featuring an elegant terrace and South Australia's first indoor plunge pool it stands as an excellent example of Victorian-style architecture. Visitors can also take a leisurely stroll through the one-acre garden; featuring a collection of cottage plants and flowers as cultivated in Victorian times, heritage roses and mature trees. The buildings are open on Sundays and public holidays from 1pm to 4pm. Guides from the 'Friends of Old Government House' conduct tours and show the different styles and furnishings in each building and share fascinating stories about this grand residence. The Vines Golf Club of Reynella (previously known as the Marino Golf Club) is situated in the Southern Wine Region some 18 kilometres from Adelaide, the city centre. Venue for the Australian Open and Jacob's Creek South Australian Open Qualifying. Venue of the 2005 South Australian Amateur Championship, the first club to hold the final outside of the inner metropolitan golf clubs in the history of the event. Venue of the 2005 and 2007 Masters Games. This course is a good test of golf to amateur and professional players alike. Winner of the 2002, 2004 and 2006 Club of the Year. Historic Glenelg Town Hall takes pride of place as the home of the Bay Discovery Centre, a social history museum interpreting the cultural heritage of Holdfast Bay. The mezzanine gallery hosts exhibitions by emerging and established South Australian artists which celebrate and explore Holdfast Bay's beach culture and represent a diversity of media and practices ranging from paintings and photographs to ceramics, sculpture and jewellery. Artists featured in previous exhibitions have included David Archer, Andrew Baines, Robin Best, Christian Hall, Abbas Mehran, Tim O'Shea, Beverley Southcott, Claire Thompson-Richards, Leo Neuhofer and Gerry Wedd. The Bay Discovery Centre also features community and historical exhibitions, contributing to its distinctive blend of visual art, heritage and tourism.

The Mount Hurtle winery first built in 1897 by Mostyn Owen is a heritage-listed building. Painstakingly restored to its former glory by Geoff Merrill in the mid eighties, the winery and surrounds have retained their almost Tuscan charm and cope with the rigors of modern day winemaking. Surrounded by the Pimpala vineyard, which is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the grounds of the winery are home to a large family of ducks, geese and swans. The Mount Hurtle experience is an opportunity to visit a small part of South Australia's winemaking heritage and to sample the world-class wines of Geoff Merrill.

Hallett Cove Conservation Park is one of Australia's most outstanding geological and archaeological sites, recording evidence of an Australian ice age some 280 million years ago and providing a treasure chest of more than 1,700 Aboriginal artefacts. Magnificently developed glacial pavements along the northern cliff tops are recognised as the best record of Permian glaciation in Australia and have international significance. The park also conserves native flora and fauna and has access to a beach for swimming and fishing. Hallett Cove Conservation Park is just 22 kilometres south of the Adelaide city centre. A series of walking trails run through the park.

The Flagstaff Hill Golf Club is a picturesque golf course that provides 18 holes of variety and challenge suitable for golfers of all standards, with a par 72 for men (blue ACR 72, white ACR 71) and par 73 (red ACR 74) for women. For your flexibility, competition golf is available every day of the week with plenty of tee times still available for those who prefer the relaxation and exercise of a casual non-competitive round. The Reynella Winery is the site of oldest wine business in South Australia, established by John Reynell in 1838. After passing through several hands, the Hardy family purchased the business in 1982. Hardys association with Reynella dates from 1850 when pioneer and founder Thomas Hardy, worked for John Reynell during his first six months in Australia. Today, the historic Reynella Winery and Cellar Door remains a premier wine tourism destination. Cellar Door is also adjacent to many historic structures including the grand Reynell Homestead which dates from 1842 and Cellar Number One which dates from 1845. The Old Cave as it is more affectionately known is listed with the National Trust and is the oldest working wine cellar in Australia. The Reynella Winery provides the ultimate in winery locations for garden ceremonies, wedding receptions or corporate function. Horndale Distillery and Wine Cellars is one of the oldest vineyards/wineries in the Adelaide region. Horndale has one and a half acres of Red Frontignac grapes. These grapes are used to make up Horndale's feature wine Old Horndale Brandy Wood Frontignac. Apart from this small crush, the other wine is made off the premises. Horndale Cellar Door has a fine selection of Red, White, Sparkling and Fortified Wines. With many medal winners in our stable you are sure to find a wine for that special occasion, or even some to put away. The cellar door is open for tastings and sales seven days a week. Adjoining the cellar is the old Number One Spirit Store, which has been converted to a function room and restaurant. The Function room is ideal for that special occasion and the bistro is popular with tourists and is open Friday nights. Bookings are essential.
