Based on the shores of the pristine Port Hacking Waterway and surrounded by Australia's oldest National Park - the Royal National Park, it is truly a nature lover's paradise! Guided tours are a fantastic start into kayaking as the expert guides provide assistance with paddling as well as an insight on natural and cultural features of this stunning area. Tours include guide for duration of tour, technique and safety briefing, hire of kayak, paddle and safety vest and a delicious morning tea. Kayak and stand up paddle boards are available for hire from Wednesday to Sunday. A range of kayaks, paddle boards and accessories are also available for sale.

The Bundeena Boatshed is a unique absolute beachfront accommodation on Gunyah Beach in Bundeena. Step out of the door onto the sand and crystal clear waters of a little known piece of paradise. The very private and self-contained Bundeena Boatshed is the ideal location for a couple or singles to 'getaway from it all'. Maximum two guests. The Bundeena Boatshed facilities include a double bed, bathroom, kitchenette, TV, DVD player, outdoor barbecue and a living room with a beautiful view to Gunyah Beach and Port Hacking . The Coast track in Sydney's Royal National Park is an epic multi-day walk between Bundeena and Otford. Enjoy incredible coastal lookouts, swimming spots, seasonal wildflowers and whale watching along this challenging 26 kilometre track. The Coast track can be tackled in sections or, if you’re super-fit, in a day. It's best experienced as a two-day backpack trip with an overnight stop at North Era campground (advance bookings required). The northern section of the walk covers around 18 kilometres from Bundeena to North Era. Allow at least seven hours to enjoy the rugged beauty of Royal National Park's sandstone escarpments, sandy beaches, coastal heath and forest, as you walk. There are several scenic stops along the way, including Little Marley Beach, Wattamolla, Curracurrang Cove near Eagle Rock lookout, and Garie Beach. Stop for a rest, have a picnic, or cool off with a swim, before continuing to North Era campground for the night. The southern section of the walk, between North Era and Otford lookout, covers eight kilometres and takes around three hours. You'll pass several heritage shacks at South Era, and travel through coastal rainforest of burning palms and palm jungle. Why not stop at Burning Palms Beach, before climbing back atop the headlands. Take in the views from Werrong lookout then push on the last couple of kilometres to Otford lookout....

Bundeena is literally sits pretty on the fringe of the Royal National Park. Arrive in Bundeena by taking the Heritage-listed M.V. Curranulla ferry across from Cronulla to explore Bundeena's curve of beach and bushland. Regarded as one of the jewel's in Sydney's south, Bundeena has caves, waterfalls, swimming holes and a creative community that remains inspired by a rugged landscape rendered beautiful by brute force. You can see examples of this inspiration when resident artists flings open their doors for the Art Trail, on the first Sunday of every month. Using Bundeena as your base, you can walk to Wedding Cake Rock, in Sydney's Royal National Park (allow about an hour each way). The more adventurous can hike the full 26 kilometres to Otford (allow two full days for one). In Bundeena, freedom beckons - be it a picnic at the playground, a paddle up-river in a kayak with Bundeena Kayaks or an afternoon spent enjoying having an entire swathe of beach to yourself. The Jibbon Aboriginal Rock Carvings one of the best preserved Aboriginal rock art sites in Sydney. During winter, you can sometimes spot whales from the cliff tops on the Coast Track, just east of Bundeena. And it's from awe-inspiring vantage points such as this that Bundeena seems the furthest you can get from Sydney while still being within its borders.
