The property is set on 105 acres nestled in the foothills of Mount Caroline and you can be the sole occupier for the duration of your stay freedom, peace and a true sense of tranquility. The four spacious bedrooms (one with king size and one queen size beds) have a magnificent view of the rolling hills surrounding the property. There are also two attractive bathrooms plus an additional powder room and a beautifully appointed kitchen/dining room and two separate recreation/relaxation rooms, complete with pool table, DVD player, stereo equipment and a range of games. Two beautifully warm wood heaters, along with central heating, ensure the whole retreat is cosy and warm. A covered BBQ area makes an ideal spot to sit back and soak in the atmosphere whilst enjoying some of the Yarra Valleys fine wines or enjoy a spa.

Y Water Discovery Centre

The Y Water Discovery Centre incorporates a fully accredited Visitor Information Centre and interactive environmental interpretive displays to inform visitors about the importance of water resource management and local wetland ecology. Located adjacent to the Yea Wetlands the Centre is a striking, architecturally designed building incorporating sustainable design elements. A range of programs for primary and secondary school groups are offered as well as guided tours of the Wetlands which include a Devonshire tea. The friendly team can provide information on a wide range of activities and points of interest, accommodation and dining options, and travel directions. The Centre also incorporates a gift shop stocking a wide range of products for sale including books, maps, games and toys, jewellery, skincare, local produce and clothing. Many of the items are hand-crafted by local artisans and producers who offer a unique and very special range of products. Outside there is a picnic area with barbecue facilities, ample on-site parking and a recreational vehicle dump point....

You will have the opportunity to see Platypus, Rakali (native water rats), Sacred King Fisher, Koala, Sugar Glider or, maybe the rare and ancient damselfly described in scientific journals as a 'living fossil'. Walk the Franklin Track and discover information about the Taungurung Clan, the Aboriginal community that lived in this area prior to European settlement. Learn about their people, their history, food culture and relationship with the environment. The multi award winning Y Water Discovery Centre on the corner of Hood and High Street is just two years old and is a must see attraction. The striking architecture, accredited Visitor services and hands-on Interpretive Centre is at the entry to the wetlands. The interpretive displays focus on our most valued export - water - and all the life dependent on it. The Centre informs people about that precious, yet controversial water resource as well as the birds, and animals that form part of the important ecology of the disappearing wetlands.
