At Healesville Glass Blowing Studio you have the opportunity to make your own paperweight and experience the unique art of making an object out of molten glass at temperatures of up to 1000 degrees Celsius. Watch the process so that you can see a paperweight being made from start to finish. Then, with a little help, you will add colour to the glass, stretch and bend it to mix in the colours, before shaping it into your own paperweight. It only takes around 10-15 mins to make a paperweight, which then needs to cool down slowly overnight, this is called annealing and without it the glass will break.
