The Sustainable Living Festival is an event that celebrates sustainability and aims to teach, encourage and inspire our local community to embrace and learn about living a more sustainable lifestyle in a fun way. Guest Speakers including: Trevor Nottle, South Australian author and dry climate gardening expert; WOMAD Talks speakers Professor John Boland and Chris Bryant, experts on designing and maintaining sustainable gardens; Kerry Cleopatra of Waking Up Wellbeing, talking on food, wellbeing and healthy community! Kids activities including a Nature Playground, reptile petting and a workshop where the kids will be making creations from 'junk' as well as a group project involving well known Artist, Scott Rathman. Celebrity chef Simon Bryant, who promotes the use of ethically sourced and local, fresh ingredients will be presenting a cooking demonstration using locally sourced ingredients. We have over 20 stalls providing advice and information on topics such as energy efficiency, native plants, bike maintenance, community group programs, Eco friendly products, native plants, upcycled items, ethical homewares, henna tattoo's and much more. Welcome to the National Military Vehicle Museum, which is operated on a volunteer basis by members of the Military Vehicle Preservation Society of South Australia. The Society is one of many Military Vehicle Clubs across Australia and throughout the world and its members are dedicated to the preservation of vehicles that are of military origin. The museum was developed as a way of providing undercover storage for the vehicles and at the same time allowing the public to view them. The majority of the vehicles are privately owned by the Society members and therefore each member is responsible for their own vehicles. In addition the vehicles are not just restored to look at, they are rebuilt to authentic running condition and most are road registered and driven regularly. You will see military vehicles and items ranging from the First World War to current times....

The Kingsford Hotel, in the heart of Gawler, opened for business in 1851. Today, it still operates from the original building, which is on the Register of the National Estate. Gawler Caravan Park is centrally located in the heart of Gawler. It is in close proximity to shopping centres, the visitor information centre, the train station, parks and walking trails. We offer cabins, powered and unpowered sites. Each cabin can accommodate between 4 & 6 guests, with linen supplied to the main bedroom. All cabins have an en-suite, TV, kitchenette and living area. Sites are gravel with a cement slab with plenty of room. We have a small amount of grassed camping areas. We offer 2 barbecue areas, a well equipped laundry and amenities block.
