The highlight, and not seen anywhere else in the world, is the Rosto Olives Running of the Sheep - with over 200 sheep wearing red woollen socks!...

The small town of Merriwa is located on the Golden Highway in the Upper Hunter Valley. Surrounded by fertile countryside, it flourished as an agricultural area after its settlement in 1839. Merriwa is a great base for exploring the outdoor and cultural attractions of the Upper Hunter.
