Feeling stressed? Lost focus, or just need some time to think? Come and enjoy a little seclusion, tranquillity and more importantly, take time to recharge life's batteries. The Studio is an old farm building, renovated, to include the necessities of life whilst retaining simple charm and character. It is nestled into 120 acres of "once-upon-a-time" dairy, and is now a working farm with sheep and cattle. Ideal for couples, it consists of a small kitchen, ensuite, living space, pot belly stove, and two porches, one of which has a WeberQ. Wander amongst the vines and olive trees, or simply 'chill out' and put your feet up with a longed-for good read. There is an abundance of flora and fauna to enjoy and space to do exactly what you want. Perhaps enjoy a swim, picnic, or a stroll down to the dam. Experience the quiet, the stars, shade under the porch or take in the ambience whilst sipping a chilled white, or robust red in the rustic " Old Machinery Shed" Cellar Door nearby. The Cellar Door is open every Sunday between 10am and 4pm for tastings. The Studio is a little over two hours drive from Brisbane....

Crows Nest Falls Lookout

Crows Nest National Park, Crows Nest QLD 4355
Walk through eucalypt forest to Crows Nest Falls lookout and see water tumbling over 20 metre high granite cliffs. Depending on the season, the waterfall can be a mere trickle or a raging torrent. Warning: For your safety, never attempt to climb around the lookout barriers to access the waterhole or waterfall-to do so could result in serious injury or cost you your life! Take the Kauyoo Loop (an extra 600 metres) for an alternate walk back to the picnic area. At Kauyoo Pool a sandy beach allows easy access to the shallow water. Steep crevices and slippery rocks lead to Cascades where you can hear the 'tock tock' calls of striped marshfrogs echoing around the boulders in summer. Watch your step, especially if the creek is flowing. This is a good spot to sit quietly and keep watch for rock wallabies....

Crows Nest Falls

Albert Street, Crows Nest QLD 4355
Weeping bottlebrush, river she-oak and forest red gum line watercourses while dry vine scrubs grow in sheltered gullies where soil and moisture accumulate at Crows Nest Falls, a prominent feature of Crows Nest National Park, located about a half-hour drive from Toowoomba. On steep slopes and cliff tops, eucalypts tower over a thick understorey of shrubs and small trees. The Falls are a haven for native birds and provides many opportunities for birdwatchers. Wildflowers, including the rare Acacia granitica, flourish in the shallow, rocky soils and provide colourful displays in spring and summer. Explore Crows Nest Creek, the falls and the Valley of Diamonds by following walking tracks that start at the picnic ground. Lookouts provide views over the Valley of Diamonds. Seasonal wildflowers provide interest for photographers and naturalists, and spotlighting for nocturnal native animals can be rewarding. Picnic and camping areas are provided (a camping permit is required). The campground includes unpowered sites for tents and caravans.
