Australian Pottery at Bemboka is a gallery featuring a broad range of Australian ceramics made in the last half century, both production ware and exhibition pieces. None of the items are new. Some are from the owner's collection, others sourced from the secondary market. All items are available for sale.
The aim of the gallery is to bring items from the collection together in displays that demonstrate the diversity of work produced by Australian potters over the last fifty years, and some of the trends and cross-influences over time.
All fellow collectors, potters, students, historians and art and craft lovers are welcome, or anyone looking for functional or decorative items not quite in the usual style.
This season at the gallery their exhibition, entitled "Pale and Interesting" continues to explore glazes and decorative techniques with an emphasis on understated chromatic content....
